Robert was the youngest child of Benjamin and Hannah (probably a "pet") and desired to be a minister. The older brothers and sisters helped him secure an education. He was ordained (probably Presbyterian) by the Rev. JOHNSON of Florida, NY in 1841 (text Luke 14:28). He went as a missionary to Africa and died in 1843.
Elaine MASON provided Robert's middle initial and that she thinks she saw in the OCGS newsletter that Robert was married and ordained on the same day. She'll try to dig that reference up later.
