    Sally Ann's first husband, James CASKEY (son of Martin, grandson of Samuel), was born 12 May 1822. JAMES died 8 Nov 1861 Orange Co., NY, at 39 years of age. He and Sally Ann were married 5 Dec 1846. After his death, she married William REED.

    James' will was probated at Goshen Twp., Orange Co., NY, 2 Dec 1861. James is listed as a Junior, although his father is (presumed to be) Martin CASKEY. This record was signed by D. A. SCOTT, surrogate.

    Notes: Dear Folks lists children (in order) Ezra, John, Rufus, Hattie and Anna. Clifford SAWYER's handwritten note shows the 4th child as Nettie, not Hattie.
