Catherine as an older woman c1850s

Catherine and James were married December 17, 1812 (in Mill Rift?, PA). James had settled in Mill Rift in 1808. His brother, John, also settled there (not sure who was first?). Catherine was the daughter of John and Sarah (SQUIRL) NEARPASS of Goshen, NY (Orange County). All of the children of James and Catherine were born in Mill Rift, PA.

In the book Portrait and Biographical Record of Orange County, NY, Chapman Publishing Co., 1895, an entry for William N. CASE (b. April 14, 1804) on p. 872 shows his parents to be Henry and Catherine (NEARPASS) CASE and lists William N. as their eldest child of 9. The book indicates this Catherine Nearpass was born in NJ. Possibly some connection to the subject of this page?
