Edmund and Belinda were married 14 Jul 1827 at Clayton, Jefferson Co., NY. She was born 20 Mar 1812 (in NY?) and died 19 Mar 1874 in MI. Her parents were Andrew and Mary (WHITNEY) MALLORY (Mary b. Bonn, CT d. Ninth Town, Canada). The family moved to Eaton Co., MI in 1850. His occupation was sea captain. He had a sailing vessel that sailed the Great Lakes and the St. Lawrence River. He was said to have owned an island in the waters around MI, which he sold about the time he came to MI (1850). A few years after 1850, they bought a farm in Ionia Co., where most of the children lived. Both Edmund and his wife are buried in the Steele Cemetery, Ionia Co., MI.
