This Henry took a trip to Nanaimo, BC in the 1930s (?) and took the following pictures:
On the left is what he called the 'old Block House' [now called 'the Bastion', built 1853], upper right is labelled 'Bank of Commerce' [now called the 'Great National Land Bldg' at the corner of Front and Church streets] and lower right 'Post Office' (with 'Uncle Henry' in the picture, now on Front Street). One other pic (not included above is of the 'USS Gold Star [ship] at Nanaimo BC Canada loading coal for Radio stations in Alaska'. This is a familiar area to me since my wife comes from Vancouver Island and we've visited Nanaimo many times.
