Terkild was the likely first name of this man, the earliest known GRUNNET ancestor, perhaps a variant of the common Danish name Thorkil or Thorkell (and perhaps descended from a man of that name? cf Danes.html). We know this from the custom of using the father's first name in the names of the children. He is assumed to have lived around 1480 in Grundet, Vejle, Denmark.
His daughter married Anders BERTELSEN, who was mayor of Vejle ca. 1529. They had 2 children; a daughter Sidse ANDERSDATTER, m. Soren SORENSEN, a councilman of Vejle who d. 1571 and a son Anders Sorensen VEDEL, b. 9 Nov 1542 in Vejle, who was a royal historian, magistrate and judge (kgl. Historiograf, Magister, Domherre) in Ribe, d. 13 Feb 1616.
