Taeckle Gatses (i.e. son of Gatse, of DYKSTRA line)
Father: Gatse ?
Mother: ?
Spouse1: m1613 Saak EBEDOCHTER (i.e. daughter of Ebe)
Spouse2: m1636 Trijn EELCKEDOCHTER
Children:
Taeckle and Saak were married 26 Dec 1613 at the Reformed Church at the Hague. Saak EBEDOCHTER was from the town of Smallebrugge [small bridge].
Taeckle was a farmer at Westhem. Saak died between 1626 and 1636. They had 4 children. Around 1636 Taeckle remarried Trijn EELCKEDOCHTER. On 4 Jan 1637 an inventory took place at his house (apparently there was a problem between the new wife and the existing grown children of Taeckle and he legally separated himself from his children). Sierk EBES became the legal guardian of the 4 children (perhaps a bro of Saak's?).
The dispute was over a piece of land that had been inherited from the mother of Saak and therefore went to the children. They each got a 4th of the value (3460 guilden).
In 1640, Taeckle was the owner of (farm?) #16 in Wolsum. He rented it to Sybren FREERCKS and himself rented another property. Taeckle and Romcke RUIERDTS (user of the land that the children got) were guardians over Ruierd and Joucke DOYTSES, children of Doytse and Ruierdts and Rieme Gatses (Taeckle's sister).
If Taeckle lived to be 80yo he saw the early stages of what became 'The Glorious Revolution', led by TDR ldr and Prince of Orange, later KoE Wm III who m. the dau of KoE James II ...
