Peder was a son or perhaps a grandson of Jens Pedersen GRUNDET (represented here as former). He lived in Nebbegard in Garslev parish (Holmans dominion, Vejle province). He lived during the time of the 1596 King's edict regarding land taxes. This edict was announced along with the warning "severe penalties will accompany non-compliance, including siezure of farms." It was for this reason that Peder was notified 7 Feb 1596 he must pay in annual taxes until sold 1 pound grain? (Rug), 1 pound barley and 1 pound oats.
