Iver was a farmer in Bjert. He married Maren on 2 Nov 1724. She was b. 1701 and was bur. 14 Jun 1740 at Eltang parish. Iver was married again to Mette on 7 Jul 1741. Mette was bap. 25 Mar 1717 and bur. 21 Apr 1786. She was a daughter of the farmer Hans Hansen Sandemand and his wife Sidsel Sorensdatter (Grunnet).

Sidsel was a daughter of Hans Iversen (Grunnet), parish bailiff (Sognefoged), layman/doctor? (Laegdsmand) and farmer in Bjert, b. 1757 and d. 20 Sep 1824. Sidsel was born to his second marriage with Maren Sorensdatter, bap. 26 Apr 1767 and d. 8 Apr 1821 in Bjert. Maren was a daughter of the farmer Soren Bonde.

Sidsel's daughter, Mette Hansdatter, second wife of our subject, had a 24-year marriage with her (great?) uncle? (Morbror, literally mother-brother), Iver Pedersen Grunnet, the 53 year old had become a widower within the previous year. They had 9 children, the 7th was Else Marie.

If the above translation is correct, Mette's mother Sidsel was a first cousin to Iver Pedersen Grunnet. Sidsel's father was Hans Iversen (Grunnet) and Iver's was Peder Iversen (Grunnet). Hans and Peder were apparently brothers.
