  • Ephraim and Mary were m. 18 Nov 1669 at New Haven, CT. The SANFORD GEDCOM notes sources CES pp. 90, 94-9 and SWA pp. 639-40. Mary was christened 20 Jul 1645 at New Haven, CT and admitted to the Milford [Puritan?] Church 15 May 1681. Her second marriage was to Nathaniel BALDWIN, b. abt. 1645 (see SWA p. 639). She was the daughter of Thomas POWELL, b. abt. 1615 and Priscilla ?, b. abt. 1620. Thomas was a planter in New Haven.

Hmmm, the famous Pilgrim couple John ALDEN c1599-1687 and Priscilla MULLENS c1602-c85 m. 12 May 1622 had a dau also named Priscilla who m. ?. She was 9th of 10 children, the 1st b1624 acc. to the wiki Priscilla page (the John page says dau Priscilla was b. c1630 and 'was alive and unmarried in [13 Jun census] 1688', another site says she was b. at Duxbury, MA). Could this be Ephraim's mother-in-law? But more likely, see also the following page on Captain Thomas POWELL 1616-81 and his wife Priscilla WHITSON 1620-81 (the Captain was b. in England, as was his future wife, orphaned at 5yo, came to America in 1635 [she likely around the same time], both were connected w/Rev DAVENPORT, fndr of New Haven colony, and the Captain was 'in the sack and rum trade').
